From a milk-coffee cart to a home for millions of memories.
Kopi Kenangan was born in 2017 in Jakarta from a simple idea: quality palm-sugar milk coffee at an affordable price, ordered fast through a "grab & go" model. The name "Kenangan" — meaning "memory" — became the brand's promise: every cup is a story worth remembering.
Within four years, the company reached unicorn status (2021), and now operates outside Indonesia under the name Kenangan Coffee — spanning Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, India, Australia, and Taiwan.

Coffee beans & palm sugar, straight from Indonesian farmers.
Every year, Kopi Kenangan uses around 1,500 tons of Indonesian coffee beans — from Sumatra, Java, all the way to Sulawesi — across its operation, including international outlets. The palm sugar behind the signature "Kenangan Mantan" flavor is also sourced from local farmers.
This strategy isn't just about authentic taste — it's also how we make sure Indonesian coffee reaches global markets "in a cup, with a name," rather than being exported raw by the sack.
Ongoing sustainability initiatives include waste management programs and long-term partnerships with coffee farmer cooperatives to support farmer livelihoods.
